Administration
Our Administration department is a major provider of services to our employees as well as being the custodian of the company premises.
In this regard, it oversees all security and maintenance. In addition, it oversees our employee dining halls and drinking water supplies, on-site medical facilities and other relevant services.
It also plays a vital role in hosting local and international visitors on-site.
The administration department is meticulous about reviewing and auditing its own performance and provision of services.

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
Interloop's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department is a great source of pride for our organization. Interloop Ltd. was recently awarded the OHSE (Organizational Health, Safety and Environment) award for 2008 in the Textiles sector in recognition of our benchmark practices in this area.
Our EHS department ensures compliance with customer requirements and certification standards, as well as ensuring the safety of our workforce, both executive and labor.
Interloop is working with some of the most well-known brands in the world, whose requirements in this area are very stringent and our EHS department, in collaboration with other relevant departments, is spearheading the effort to comply with these requirements.
In this regard, EHS personnel are charged with several duties, to ensure all required measures are in place to make Interloop's work environment secure, risk-free and compliant. These include investigation of and reporting on problem areas, implementation of new requirements, recommending remedial actions where necessary and raising EHS awareness amongst all employees through various avenues.

Engineering Department
As our operations expand, we are striving to become increasingly self-reliant and efficient. Our Engineering function is a vital partner in this journey.
Engineering is the technical problem-solver of the organization striving to make things work more efficiently and cost-effectively. The Engineering functional area works day in and day out to improve the way we work, to maximize production from our technology and to assist in making the work environment on our production floors safer.
To keep our machines running and to maintain quality production whilst meeting our targets, Engineering also plans the maintenance and upkeep of machines
In addition, Engineering provides various in-house sources of energy (electrical, gas and steam) to ensure uninterrupted power supply to our production units and offices.
Finally, Engineering is entrusted with planning and executing any extension works in existing production facilities and new units.

Finance
Finance is a strategic partner in the working of the organization. It arranges, manages, plans and utilizes financial resources alongside keeping records of all financial transactions executed by the Company.
This involves the preparation of feasibility studies and the evaluation of CAPEX and other new ventures. In addition, it includes the maintenance of accounts through ERP software and analysis of business activities through various ratios and historical trends so that Management is in a position to make informed decisions. Finally, all taxation matters are also handled within the Finance function.
Thus, the three sections constituting the Finance functional area are Accounts, Finance and Taxation.

Human Resources
Our award-winning human resources department handles compensation and benefits, recruitment and selection, training and development, and many other relevant functions for our 8000-strong labor force, as well as our 500+ executive employees.
It has introduced many innovative concepts at Interloop, including annual employee dinners, fully equipped and staffed child-care rooms in each division and Project Care.
Candidates interested in the Human Resources department will have an MBA, other Master's degree or four-year degree (in any discipline). They must be skilled communicators with an attention to detail.

Import & Export (I&E)
The I&E department handles all logistical arrangements and financial transactions relevant to the inflow of production inputs and outflow of our products.
In this regard, I&E must coordinate with customers, suppliers, government offices, and service providers such as shipping lines, forwarders, transport companies and banks, to execute and follow up on myriad activities such as inbound and outbound shipments, documentation and payments.
Our I&E personnel have good interpersonal and negotiation skills, and work well under pressure.

Merchandising

Upon entering the merchandising department, you will work in close-knit teams. You will work to ensure seamless coordination with production and other relevant departments, and as your understanding blossoms, you will begin to handle aspects of client communication and negotiation.
Our merchandisers possess superior communication skills as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

MIS (Management and Information Systems)
MIS is the lynchpin integrating all of our functional areas. Its role has grown tremendously in the last few years and this trend is set to continue in coming years.
Team MIS is continuously embedding the latest tools and technologies in to our systems by deploying solutions based upon best practices and standards. Its core areas are ERP implementation and maintenance, In-House Customized Applications development, Networking and Hardware Infrastructure management.
Its teams and functions are highly specific whilst still requiring a high degree of coordination and communication within the department. In addition, our MIS personnel have a strong customer focus with regards to their in-house "clients".
To succeed in MIS, you must have a flare for software development and/or want to excel in the areas of network management, and be capable of handling high pressure environment whilst demonstrating strong problem solving and customer-orientation skills.
If you possess an MBA preferably an MBA IT, as well as the requisite skills including a strong business acumen and customer orientation skills, we encourage you to explore the MIS functional area.

Production & Operations
Production is the heart of our organization. As we continue to grow, our Operations function is taking on an increasingly complex and multi-disciplinary character. Making a sock entails several steps, of which Operations & Production oversees the following:

- Finishing (Packing and Boarding)
Our operations management must have
the ability to lead their production floor teams and handle high-pressure situations. They must deliver timely output with a strong focus on quality consciousness and cost-effectiveness.
In addition, they must communicate with other departments and use their analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that might occur on the floor.

Production, Planning and Control (PPC)
PPC is the nerve center of all our operations. Our PPC personnel are entrusted with the job of matching the incoming demand with our production capabilities. PPC must centrally plan the availability of all production inputs, including raw materials and production capacity.
Not only that, but it must account for constraints that may appear and pass on relevant planning data to production. Responsibilities range from Central Planning to Inventory Control.

Product Development (PD)
Our product development department processes new queries received from clients - new product requests from both existing and new clients. PD plays a vital role in ascertaining how the product will be made, what resources it will require and what particular feasibility issues need to be looked at when the product shifts over to bulk production.
In addition, PD's Research and Development (R&D) wing, which is expanding its capabilities, looks in to development of new product offerings using the latest techniques and raw materials available.

Processing
Processing is responsible for all chemical treatments imparted to socks. This includes colors and special treatments. It is a highly precise and analytical field dealing with the intricate chemistry between yarns and required chemicals, for which Interloop Processing
has a highly advanced development wing. At the same time, it is a full-scale production operation that is vital to the making of our products.

Procurement & Supplies (P&S)
P&S is a critical link in the chain which handles the procurement of all required raw materials and other inputs for all of Interloop's production processes. This includes cotton, yarn, chemicals, machine accessories, and so on.
P&S must deal directly with the fast-paced world of commodities markets, locally and internationally, to procure the highest-quality materials at the best prices. P&S personnel identify and establish relationships with new suppliers and handle day-to-day contact with suppliers for purchasing activities.
Our P&S team members possess a strong commercial awareness. This is backed up by strong analytical abilities, particularly quantitative, as well as superior communication and negotiation skills.

QAD
Our Quality Assurance department is unparalleled in Pakistan's garment manufacturing industry. The recently endowed ISO/IEC17025 certification is proof of that claim. With this certification in hand, we are now qualified to test not only our own products to clients' satisfaction but those of others manufacturers in Pakistan on the behalf on their international clients.
This is the result of a highly quality-conscious culture, contributed to by all, but spearheaded by the QAD department.
Our QAD personnel require great judgment, attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills in order to maintain this standard of working. In addition, they must be able to lead their teams and to maintain thorough communication with production departments to ensure the fulfillment of a collective goal.
